Description

Organizations that work with older adults can become trauma-informed, resilience-oriented, and equity-focused to best meet the needs of the people they serve. Please join this event to receive information and then engage in a conversation about trauma-informed, resilience-oriented, and equity-focused systems (TIROES) and approaches. This session will explore the prevalence and impact of trauma; the key principles of TIROES; what being trauma-informed looks like in daily practice; and the connection to self-care and compassion resilience. Attendees will also receive information on how they can continue their organization’s learning journey through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing’s TIROES portfolio.

Attendees who join this session can expect to…

  1. Gain knowledge on key concepts and principles for being trauma-informed, resilience-oriented, and equity-focused.
  2. Learn how they can build compassion resiliency skills that help prevent burnout and compassion fatigue.
  3. Engage in discussion around trauma-informed, resilience-oriented, equity-focused best practices for organizations that serve older adults.
