The Department of Labor (DOL) recently issued a proposed rule on overtime requirements for salaried workers that would raise the salary threshold for overtime pay eligibility. Specifically, DOL is updating and revising regulations issued under the Fair Labor Standards Act that implement exemptions from minimum wage and overtime pay requirements for executive, administrative, professional, outside sales and computer employees.
