Wellbeing Wednesdays -
Wednesday, June 12th | 2pm-3pm ET
On This Month's Episode
Former congressman Patrick J. Kennedy — the youngest son of former Sen. Edward “Ted” Kennedy — led the charge to raise awareness about mental health and substance use challenges during his 16 years in Congress and as founder of The Kennedy Forum and co-founder of One Mind for Research.
On April 30, Patrick Kennedy and co-author Stephen Fried published “Profiles in Mental Health Courage,” a book in the model of former President John F. Kennedy’s (Patrick’s uncle) 1955 “Profiles in Courage.” “Profiles in Mental Health Courage” helps us understand mental health through deeply compelling narratives that provide useful insights for caregivers, policymakers and anyone hoping to learn more about our nation’s mental health crisis.
National Council for Mental Wellbeing President and CEO Chuck Ingoglia will host Kennedy to discuss his book and advocacy on behalf of those with mental health and substance use challenges.
